angle-left Special Session: Innovative solutions based on IoT and AI to improve Healthy and Active Aging

Within the framework of the second open call of the European project Pharaon (https:// www.pharaon.eu/), the “ELISIR - Elderly Lifestyle Innovative monitoring System based on non-Intrusive IoT technologies" project aims to revolutionize the well-being and quality of life forthe elderly. The ELISIR project is focused on the use of IoT and AI technologies to improve thewell-being of elderly people. The project includes an experimental pilot within a dedicated elderlycare facility. By harnessing innovative IoT technologies, ELISIR aims to revolutionize elderly care,enhancing the well-being of both the elderly and their caregivers. This project represents a steptowards achieving the overarching goals set forth by the Pharaon project, emphasizing a user-centric approach and the integration of advanced technologies for the benefit of Europe’s aging population. The special session on “Innovative solutions based on IoT and AI to improve Healthy and Active Aging“is included in the International Symposium on the Internet of Things organized in the frame of the9 th International Conference on Smart and Sustainable Technologies (SpliTech 2024), technicallyco-sponsored by the IEEE Communication Society (ComSoc), will be held in Bol and Split, Croatia,June 25-28, 2024. The primary focus of the special session is to discuss on scientific works that are centered around andaligned with the ELISIR project within the scope of the European project Pharaon. Accepted, and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted toIEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases. Authors of selected bestpapers will be invited to submit an extended version of their manuscripts for publication in aspecial issue of some international and indexed journals.
