Bachelor's and Master's thesis
The IDALab research activities are focused on a vast range of topics that covers the application of various technologies to IoT domain. Therefore, the IDALab teams is always opened to any innovative proposal in such a domain.
Bachelor's thesis
Based on the introduction that open up to proposals from students, any exploratory work can be proposed by Bachelor's student that the IDALab will accurately evaluate to then propose an adaptation for Bachelor's thesis compatible artefacts.
Anyway, the following list summarizes the main interests of the IDALab team in exploratory activities that students can choose as main activity of their Bachelor's thesis.
● Investigate existing tools for the application of IoT, AI, DLT, Blockchain, Fog and Cloud Computing to logistics sector and traceability activities
● Investigate existing tools for the application of IoT, AI, DLT, Blockchain, Fog and Cloud Computing to predictive maintenance
● Investigate and test existing systems for the interaction with Industry4.0 machines and instruments (e.g., supporting the MODBUS protocol)
● Investigate existing tools for the exploitation of IoT, AI, DLT, Blockchain, Fog and Cloud Computing to well-being and healthcare monitoring
● Investigate existing tools for the application of IoT, AI, DLT, Blockchain, Fog and Cloud Computing to e-voting systems and applications
● Investigate existing tools for the application of IoT, AI, DLT, Blockchain, Fog and Cloud Computing to localization activities (e.g., through Beacon and BLE5.1 functionalities)
● Investigate existing tools for the digital twin paradigm
● Investigate existing tools for the exploitation of IoT, AI, DLT, Blockchain, Fog and Cloud Computing for guaranteeing workers and/or citizen safety and security.
Master's thesis
Based on the introduction that open up to proposals from students, any proposal from students aiming at the design, implementation, test and evaluation of an IoT system or technology will be evaluated by the IDALab to guide students in the definition of a Master's research thesis.
Anyway, the following list summarizes the main interests of the IDALab team in research activities that students can choose as main activity of their Master's thesis.
