Short Description:

The proposed project aims to collect and analyze targeted data to improve the quality of life and well-being of the elderly. By deploying various sensors and devices, the primary goal is to understand in detail the environmental and physiological factors affecting the well-being of the elderly, with the objective of developing personalized interventions to enhance their lifestyle. Data collection is facilitated by carefully selected sensors and devices capable of continuously and non-intrusively monitoring biomedical parameters (e.g., heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure) and environmental conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity), along with other relevant health indicators. A portion of the collected data is transmitted to a mobile app, providing real-time access to information about the elderly's health status for both formal and informal caregivers. This allows them to track the data automatically and receive timely alerts if anomalies are detected, thereby significantly improving caregivers' well-being and the quality of care they can provide. Additionally, a management platform enables in-depth analysis of the data, providing useful tools and reporting to the facility housing the elderly, as well as other stakeholders such as medical professionals. The project entails implementing one experimental pilot within a dedicated facility for elderly individuals.
